Description

"Oghma" - This handcrafted wood pen features a dark Celtic knot in rich red wood with a bright rhodium and gold setting with a Swarovski crystal. It's an beatiful tribute to the Celtic tradition. ;D

Starting as a blank of rich bubinga wood, each ring of the black palm Celtic knot was inlaid in a 1-cut-per-day method. The pen was shaped and sanded by hand on a lathe up to 10k grit. It then received a thin coat of 100% pure tung oil to bring out the grain.

The wood was then sealed in coat of durable cyanoacrylate, buffed to a high gloss and given a weathered texture to keep it beautiful for years to come. The wood was fitted in cast settings plated in rhodium and 22kt gold with a Swarovski crystal in the clip. It features a premium Schmidt steel ink cartridge that writes as smoothly as silk in black ink with its ceramic tip.

This pen is named for Oghma, the Celtic god for communication and writing, patron deity of poets. His language, Ogham, is the first written alphabet used by the druids. It's beautiful looks and durability will ensure Ogham fine writing wood pen will be cherished for years to come.

Thank you! The Celtic knots take me at least four days because I let each inlay dry overnight. A little difficult and requires PATIENCE!
